Travel LPN in Austin, TX

A Travel Licensed Practical Nurse will provide care in a general medical-surgical telemetry unit in Austin, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Meditech charting and typically manages 1:6 patient ratios.

• Complete focused assessments and ongoing reassessments
• Administer medications and support pharmacology safety
• Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and patient response
• Assist with wound care, dialysis care, gastric decompression, and CBI
• Maintain IV access and carry out LVN-level interventions
• Collaborate with the care team on patient progress and discharge needs

• Texas Licensed Practical Nurse license
• BLS certification
• IV certification for Licensed Vocational Nurses
• Medical-surgical telemetry experience
• Med-surg assessment, pharmacology assessment, and med-surg skills

• ACLS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale experience
