Travel LPN in El Paso, TX

A Travel Licensed Vocational Nurse will provide care on a bariatric medical-surgical unit in an acute care hospital in El Paso, Texas for a 13-week contract. The unit has 34 beds, a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, and uses Meditech.

• Provide direct care for bariatric medical-surgical patients
• Monitor vital signs and report changes in condition
• Initiate and manage IV therapy
• Assist with wound care and wound vac management
• Manage Foley catheters, nasogastric tubes, and enteral feedings
• Support colostomy care, drain management, suctioning, and tracheostomy care

• Texas Licensed Vocational Nurse license
• BLS certification
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• IV therapy, wound care, and enteral feeding skills

• Chest tube management
• Port a Cath access and de-access competency
