Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Smyrna, TN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for laboring patients in a hospital unit in Smyrna, Tennessee on a 13-week contract. The unit has 9 L&D rooms, 3 swing rooms, 2 operating rooms and a 3-bed obstetric emergency area, with 1:2 ratios and CPN and Meditech charting. A laborist team model supports 24/7 midwives, dedicated CRNA support and personalized birth experiences.

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status
• Assist with vaginal births and emergent obstetric care
• Circulate in the operating room for cesarean deliveries
• Support fetal monitoring, IUPC and FSE use
• Administer and monitor magnesium sulfate therapy
• Respond to postpartum hemorrhage protocols and JADA use
• Collaborate with midwives, CRNA and obstetric providers

• Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NRP and fetal monitoring certifications

• Spinning Babies techniques
• STABLE neonatal stabilization knowledge
