Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Smyrna, TN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for laboring and postpartum patients in a hospital labor and delivery unit on a 13-week contract in Smyrna, Tennessee. The unit has 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs and a 3-bed OBED, with 1:2 ratios and CPN and Meditech charting. A level 2 NICU supports high-risk deliveries.

• Provide bedside care for laboring, delivery and postpartum patients
• Assist with circulating in the operating room for cesarean births
• Monitor fetal status and support fetal monitoring workflows
• Assist with IUPC, FSE, magnesium sulfate, nitrous oxide and JADA use
• Support patient choice, vaginal birth goals and breastfeeding-friendly care
• Collaborate with midwives, CRNA and obstetric providers for high-risk deliveries

• Current Tennessee Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certification
• Fetal monitoring competency
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
