Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Portland, OR

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for women of childbearing years and newborns in an acute care hospital in Portland, Oregon on a 13-week contract. The unit serves high-risk obstetric patients and newborns, with Epic charting and a Level III NICU. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor maternal condition and fetal heart patterns
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Circulate for C-sections and recover postpartum patients
• Provide couplet care, newborn assessment and thermoregulation
• Administer magnesium sulfate, Pitocin and IV therapies
• Support pain management, epidural care and sterile vaginal exams

• Oregon Registered Nurse license
• BLS and NRP certification
• 2 years recent labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• AWHONN Intermediate
• High-risk antepartum, pre-eclampsia and hemorrhage care
• Amnioinfusion, NSTs and assisted high-risk deliveries
• Blood products, insulin drips and antiseizure support
