Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in a children’s hospital labor and delivery unit during a 13-week contract in Lubbock, Texas. The unit serves adolescents and adults, has 15 rooms, uses Epic, and works with 1:1-1:2 ratios. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status
• Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries
• Administer IV medications, fluids and blood products
• Manage hemorrhage, magnesium sulfate therapy and pain control
• Support newborn stabilization, APGAR scoring and neonatal resuscitation
• Document care in Epic and coordinate with support services

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NRP
• 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Obstetric monitoring, cesarean support and IV therapy skills

• AWHONN Intermediate
• High-risk obstetric experience
• Antepartum and obstetrical triage experience
• VBAC management and complex pregnancy conditions experience
