Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Mcallen, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital labor and delivery unit on a 12-week contract in McAllen, Texas. The unit has 14 labor beds, 6 recovery bays and 8 antepartum beds, with 1:2 labor and 1:4 antepartum ratios and Meditech/Centricity Perinatal charting.

• Monitor labor progress and maternal-fetal status
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
• Support bilateral tubal ligations, D&C and uterine tamponade procedures
• Manage magnesium and Pitocin infusions per protocol
• Provide antepartum care and respond to obstetric changes
• Document assessments, interventions and patient outcomes

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
• Intermittent EFM proficiency

• Ability to circulate in the labor and delivery operating room
