Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Houston, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for laboring, antepartum, and recovery patients in a hospital labor and delivery unit on a 13-week contract in Houston, Texas. The unit has 35 beds, uses CPN and Meditech, and supports 1:1 or 2:1 labor ratios with continuous fetal monitoring and a Baby Friendly designation.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor
• Assist with vaginal delivery and cesarean section care
• Provide antepartum assessment and testing
• Support PACU recovery after birth
• Manage cervical ripening, Pitocin, and magnesium sulfate protocols
• Maintain continuous electronic fetal monitoring
• Coordinate care with anesthesia, neonatal, laborist, and hospitalist teams

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification
• AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring

• OR circulation for cesarean sections
