Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide obstetric and surgical nursing care in an OB OR hospital in Austin, Texas, on a 13-week contract. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech, and supports 1:1 to 1:2 staffing for labor patients. Care includes a high-volume obstetric population with labor, delivery and operating room support.

• Provide labor and delivery nursing care for obstetric patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using EFM and bedside assessment
• Assist with C-sections, cerclages and TOLAC support
• Support vaginal births and obstetric operating room procedures
• Manage internal monitoring equipment and chart patient care
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the care team to maintain safe ratios

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NRP
• 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience
• EFM competency
• SVE competency
• C-section circulation competency

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Experience in a high-volume Level IV labor and delivery unit
