Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will care for obstetric patients in a labor and delivery and OB ED hospital unit in Austin, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech, and supports 1:1 to 1:2 staffing with fetal monitoring and obstetric equipment. It is a high-volume setting with cesarean and vaginal birth care.

• Monitor obstetric patients during labor, triage, and active delivery
• Assist with vaginal births, cerclage care, and cesarean deliveries
• Circulate for cesarean sections and other operative obstetric procedures
• Perform fetal monitoring and assess maternal and fetal status changes
• Support induction, TOLAC, and labor progress management
• Document patient care and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications
• 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience
• EFM competency
• SVE competency
• C-section circulation competency

• Internal monitor placement competency
• Experience in a Level IV high-volume unit
