Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide bedside care for obstetric patients in Austin, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit serves high-risk obstetric patients across LDR, antepartum and OBED with 1:1 and 1:2 ratios. Charting uses CPN and Meditech in a level II trauma hospital with maternal designation level III.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status for high-risk obstetric patients
• Assist with vaginal births, cesarean deliveries and other obstetric procedures
• Support twin deliveries and respond to emergent maternal situations
• Manage IV therapy, epidural support and medication administration
• Prepare for hemorrhage response and massive transfusion support
• Document assessments and care in the electronic record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications
• Advanced fetal monitoring or AWHONN Intermediate EFM certification
• 3 years of high-risk OB experience

• High-risk OB experience with massive transfusion
• Placenta accreta spectrum disorder experience
