Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide labor and delivery care in a hospital unit for a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech charting, and supports 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios in a high-volume setting.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and birth
• Assist with vaginal births, cesarean births, cerclages and TOLAC care
• Circulate for cesarean deliveries and support obstetric procedures
• Use fetal monitoring and obstetric equipment as indicated
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes in Meditech
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians and the care team

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE and intermediate fetal monitoring
• EFM, SVE competency and C-section circulation competency
• 2+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• Internal monitor placement competency
• High-volume labor and delivery experience
