Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will support labor and delivery patients in an acute care hospital in Lafayette, Indiana on a 12-week contract. The unit cares for labor, induction, cesarean, and antepartum patients, with about 1:1 to 1:3 staffing and Cerner charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and uterine activity
• Assist with inductions, vaginal births, and cesarean deliveries
• Support triage, recovery, and newborn transition care
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and ordered medications
• Provide education on breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge
• Maintain Cerner documentation and coordinate with the care team

• Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Cerner charting system experience
• Experience with 1:2 patient ratios

• Charge nurse experience
• Community hospital experience
• High-risk obstetric and newborn care skills
