Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Lafayette, IN

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for labor, delivery, triage, and antepartum patients in an acute care hospital on a 12-week contract in Lafayette, Indiana. The unit uses Cerner and generally follows 1:1 active labor, 1:2 when not in active labor, and 1:3 for triage or antepartum patients. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status using external and internal monitoring
• Assist with vaginal births, cesarean deliveries, and postpartum recovery
• Support triage, induction, antepartum, and high-risk obstetrical patients
• Administer and monitor IV therapy, medication infusions, and epidural support
• Perform newborn assessment, thermoregulation, and neonatal resuscitation support
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient teaching in Cerner

• Active Indiana Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and FHM certifications
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Cerner charting system experience

• Charge nurse experience
• C-section scrub experience
• VBAC management and trial of labor experience
• Community hospital experience
