Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital labor and delivery unit in Des Moines, Iowa on a 13-week contract. The role supports obstetric patients, fetal monitoring, labor management, and coordinated delivery care.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status during labor and recovery
• Assist with admissions, assessments, and ongoing nursing care
• Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries and obstetric emergencies
• Administer medications and IV therapies as ordered
• Document care, responses, and patient education
• Coordinate with the care team and respond to changing needs

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Labor and delivery nursing clinical skills
