Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide direct care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The unit supports women through labor and birth with fetal monitoring and close maternal assessment.

• Assess maternal and fetal status during labor and delivery
• Monitor contractions, tracing patterns, and overall patient response
• Administer ordered medications and support pain management measures
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean birth preparation
• Collaborate with providers on changing labor progress and interventions
• Document care and respond to urgent changes in condition

• Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse program
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certification
• Labor and delivery clinical assessment, IV, and medication administration skills
