Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide bedside obstetric care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The role supports laboring and postpartum patients and uses fetal monitoring in a hospital birth setting.

• Assess maternal and fetal status during labor
• Monitor contractions, labor progress, and recovery
• Assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean support
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and ordered treatments
• Educate patients and families on labor and newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetric providers and newborn staff

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• NRP certification
• AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification
• Labor and delivery assessment skills
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
