Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide care for patients in a labor and delivery unit in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The role supports fetal heart monitoring and labor support in a hospital setting.

• Monitor maternal and fetal status
• Assess labor progress and patient condition
• Administer medications and IV therapies
• Support deliveries and immediate newborn care
• Document care and communicate with the obstetric team
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and recovery
• Respond to changes in condition and escalate concerns

• Current Iowa Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN fetal heart monitoring certifications
• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program
