Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide labor and delivery nursing care in a hospital unit for a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients, averages 2,000 deliveries a year, and uses Epic charting.

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status
• Circulate for cesarean sections
• Provide triage assessment for obstetric patients
• Start and maintain IV access and draw venous blood
• Support recovery care after cesarean delivery
• Collaborate with the maternal and newborn care team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• BLS, NRP and AWHONN Intermediate certification
• Epic charting system experience
• Circulating cesarean section, fetal monitoring and IV therapy skills
• Mother/Baby experience

• ACLS
• High-risk antepartum, postpartum hemorrhage and magnesium sulfate therapy experience
• Newborn assessment, obstetrical triage and circumcision support
