Travel Labor and Delivery RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse will provide direct maternal and newborn care in a 32-bed hospital labor and delivery unit in Austin, Texas on a 13-week contract. The unit uses Meditech and commonly supports 1:1 to 1:2 ratios for labor, birth, and cesarean care.

• Monitor labor progress and fetal status
• Support vaginal deliveries, cerclage care, TOLAC, and cesarean delivery workflows
• Assist with cesarean circulation and internal monitoring as needed
• Perform maternal assessments and respond to changes in condition
• Document care in the electronic charting system
• Collaborate with charge nurses and the care team to maintain safe assignments

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, and intermediate fetal monitoring
• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• EFM competency, SVE competency, and cesarean circulation competency

• Internal monitor placement competency
• High-volume Level IV labor and delivery experience
