Travel ICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for critically ill patients in a hospital in San Antonio, Texas on a 13 week contract. The medical intensive care unit focuses on complex monitoring and procedures.

• Assess critically ill patients and respond to changing conditions
• Monitor hemodynamic status and advanced therapies
• Assist with chest tubes, trachs and GI scopes
• Support intubations, central lines and arterial lines
• Manage NG tubes, Foley catheters and dressing changes
• Document care and communicate with the care team

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2-3 years of ICU experience
• BLS, ACLS and NIH Stroke Certification
• Strong critical thinking skills

• MICU and MSICU background
• IABP exposure
• CRRT exposure
• Meditech charting experience
