Travel ICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults in a short term acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 16-bed unit serves trauma, cardiothoracic surgery and neuro patients, uses Epic, and staffs at 1:2 ratios in a Level II trauma center.

• Monitor critically ill adults
• Manage ventilators and noninvasive respiratory support
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac infusions
• Assess hemodynamic and neurological status
• Administer blood products, medications and parenteral nutrition
• Support arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes and drains
• Coordinate care with respiratory, pharmacy and rapid response teams

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• 3 years intensive care unit experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience
• Intensive care skills with ventilators, vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring

• CRRT, Impella and EVD experience
• Neuro, trauma and cardiothoracic ICU experience
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience
• Post neurosurgery and cardiac surgery care
