Travel ICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a short-term acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 16-bed adult and geriatric ICU averages 13 patients daily, uses Epic, serves a Level II trauma center, and typically staffs 1:2 ratios.

• Manage adult and geriatric critical care patients with respiratory, renal, endocrine, sepsis and neurologic needs
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips while tracking hemodynamics and rhythm changes
• Support ventilated patients, noninvasive respiratory therapy and airway suctioning
• Maintain central lines, arterial lines, PICCs and IV access
• Assist with CRRT, hemodialysis support, blood products and insulin protocols
• Document assessments, intake and output, labs and responses in Epic

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS
• At least 1 year ICU experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Prior travel experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, drips, arterial lines and central lines

• CVICU, SICU or NSICU experience
• CRRT, ECMO and invasive monitoring experience
• Neurocritical care, stroke and post-neurosurgery experience
• Teaching or community hospital experience
