Travel ICU RN in Mission Viejo, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Mission Viejo, California. The unit serves adults and geriatrics, has 47 beds, uses Epic charting, and works at a 1:2 ratio. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Monitor critically ill adults and geriatrics
• Manage ventilated patients and noninvasive respiratory support
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Administer blood products, IV sedation, and IV insulin protocols
• Assess neurologic status, dysrhythmias, and multisystem changes
• Support arterial lines, central lines, PICCs, and procedural sedation
• Follow infection prevention and isolation precautions

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• 1 year of intensive care unit experience
• Epic charting experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drips

• CPI or MAB
• ECMO, EVD, ICP monitoring, IABP, and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Post cardiac surgery, TAVR, spinal cord injury, or traumatic brain injury experience
• Teaching hospital or Trauma Level I or II experience
