Travel ICU RN in Mission Hills, CA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care for high-acuity adult patients in an acute care hospital in Mission Hills, California on a 16-week contract. The unit serves neuro, cardiac, trauma and surgical patients, uses Epic, and is a Magnet, level II trauma, thrombectomy-capable stroke and STEMI receiving setting.

• Monitor adult neuro, cardiac, trauma and surgical patients
• Manage ventilators, suctioning and oxygen support
• Titrate cardiac and vasoactive infusions
• Assist with arterial lines, central lines and ports
• Support bedside cardiac and GI procedures
• Interpret rhythms, ABGs and ECGs
• Administer blood products, sedation and emergency medications

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and Los Angeles City Fire Card
• 2 years of intensive care experience
• Community hospital experience and prior travel experience
• Ventilator, vasoactive drip, arterial line and central line management
• Neuro, trauma and post-cardiac care skills

• Epic charting system experience
• CABG, valve repair and replacement, TAVR, Impella or IABP experience
• Trauma level I experience
• Chemotherapy administration experience
