Travel ICU RN in Lubbock, TX

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in a short-term acute care hospital in Lubbock, Texas on a 13-week contract. The 16-bed adult unit cares for trauma, cardiovascular surgery, general surgery, and neuro patients and uses Epic.

• Monitor critically ill adult patients with trauma, cardiac, and neuro needs
• Manage ventilators, oxygen support, and airway suctioning
• Titrate vasoactive and cardiac infusions
• Assess hemodynamics, rhythm changes, intake and output, and lab trends
• Maintain arterial, central line, PICC, and chest tube care
• Support post-cardiac surgery and other complex critical care patients
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy and other disciplines

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• 3 years of ICU experience
• Prior travel experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, chest tubes, arterial lines, central lines, and dysrhythmia management

• CRRT/CVVHD
• Impella support
• ICP and EVD monitoring
• Trauma Level I or Level II experience
