Travel ICU RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a long-term acute care hospital in Columbia, South Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit serves adults and geriatrics with ventilator weaning, wound care, spinal cord injury, tracheostomy, PEG support, Epic charting, and an average daily census of 35.

• Monitor and assess patients with complex respiratory, neurologic, and wound care needs
• Manage tracheostomy, PEG, ventilator weaning, and tube feeding support
• Administer IV medications, drips, and blood products as ordered
• Perform line care, blood glucose monitoring, and dysrhythmia surveillance
• Complete stroke scale assessments and respond to changes in condition
• Coordinate care with therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and other support teams

• South Carolina Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• One year of ICU experience
• Neurologic critical care experience
• Epic charting experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program

• LTAC experience
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Trauma Level II experience
