Travel ICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults in a medical ICU in Charlottesville, Virginia on a 13-week contract. The unit serves patients with multi-system failure, sepsis, pneumonia, GI bleed, and organ failure with a 1:2 ratio. It uses Epic and has teaching hospital and Level I trauma exposure.

• Monitor adults with respiratory failure, sepsis, GI bleed, and organ failure
• Manage ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and chest tubes
• Titrate vasoactive, cardiac, and IV insulin infusions per protocol
• Administer blood products, sedation, and emergency medications
• Assist with CRRT, hemodialysis support, and other advanced ICU therapies
• Track ABGs, dysrhythmias, intake and output, and urine output
• Support bedside procedures, suctioning, and diagnostic transport

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of medical ICU experience
• Teaching hospital and Level I trauma experience
• Epic charting experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, vasoactive drips, blood products, and ABGs

• CCRN
• CVVHD/CRRT experience
• Central venous pressure monitoring and Swan Ganz monitoring
• Liver transplant and sheath removal experience
