Travel ICU RN in Charlottesville, VA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will care for adults in a medical intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in Charlottesville, Virginia. The unit serves patients with multi-system failure, sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and organ failure, with a 1:2 ratio and Epic charting.

• Monitor adults with sepsis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal bleeding, and organ failure
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and continuous IV sedation
• Assess hemodynamics, blood gases, urine output, and dysrhythmias
• Support bedside procedures and recovery for lines, chest tubes, trachs, and sedation
• Administer blood products, insulin protocols, and other critical care therapies
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams

• Virginia Registered Nurse license, pending licensure accepted
• BLS and ACLS
• 2 years of intensive care unit experience
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Critical care skills with ventilators, arterial lines, central lines, and vasoactive drips

• CCRN
• CRRT/CVVHD experience
• Swan Ganz and ICP monitoring experience
• Hypothermia protocol experience
