Travel ICU RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 13 week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 12 beds, uses Meditech charting, and sees assignments ranging from 1:1 to 3:1.

• Monitor critically ill patients and report changes promptly
• Manage hemodynamic monitoring, drips, and ventilator support
• Support care for central lines, external ventricular drains, and lumbar drains
• Assist with bedside procedures such as thoracentesis and paracentesis
• Provide dialysis support and temperature management as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, and the care team

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• ACLS and BLS
• ICU nursing experience
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Strong critical care assessment and teamwork skills

• PALS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale knowledge
• TNCC certification
