Travel ED RN in Wichita, KS

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in Wichita, Kansas. The unit has 52 beds, uses Meditech charting, and averages 3:1 with low-acuity and pediatric patients. Pediatric care uses team nursing in a fast-paced emergency setting.

• Assess emergency patients and prioritize care
• Start IVs and administer medications
• Support sedation care and pediatric treatment
• Monitor patient response and report changes
• Document care in the electronic record
• Use barcode scanning for patients and medications
• Collaborate with the care team in a fast-paced setting

• Kansas Registered Nurse license
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department Registered Nurse experience
• BLS, ACLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC certification
• CPI Blue Card
• Travel nursing experience or experience in large emergency departments

• ENPC certification
• Meditech charting experience
• Experience in facilities larger than 52 beds
