Travel ED RN in Torrance, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide urgent and emergent care in an acute care hospital in Torrance, California on a 16-week contract. The 35-bed unit serves neonates through geriatrics and uses Epic charting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and triage emergency patients across all age groups
• Start and maintain IV access and administer ordered therapies
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
• Support blood product administration and procedural sedation
• Provide stroke, pediatric and general emergency nursing care
• Document care in Epic and collaborate with the care team

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale and PALS certifications
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting experience
• Emergency care skills in central line care, IV vasopressors and dysrhythmia management

• TNCC certification
• ENPC or EDAP experience
• Charge nurse or teaching hospital experience
