Travel ED RN in Salem, VA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital emergency room on a 13-week contract in Salem, Virginia. The unit has 27 beds, uses Meditech, and sees 4:1 to 6:1 ratios in a high-acuity setting.

• Assess and triage emergency patients
• Provide bedside care in a fast-paced emergency room
• Assist with RSI, sepsis interventions and stroke protocols
• Support tPA administration and central line care
• Care for patients with behavioral health needs
• Coordinate transfers to other facilities
• Work closely with charge nurses and medics

• Virginia Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC
• 2 to 3 years of emergency department experience
• 2 to 3 completed travel assignments

• High-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume emergency department experience
• ENPC, NRP and NIH Stroke Scale
