Travel ED RN in Plainview, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Plainview, Texas. The standard emergency department has 8 beds, sees about 40 patients a day, uses Epic charting, and welcomes first-time travelers.

• Assess and triage patients across all age groups
• Provide care for trauma, medical, psychiatric, and behavioral health cases
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and response to treatment
• Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and emergency interventions
• Assist with intubation, procedural sedation, splinting, and chest tube care
• Support charge duties and patient assignments as needed

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC certification
• Charge nurse experience
• Emergency department triage experience

• Arterial blood gas interpretation
• Near drowning care
• Sickle cell crisis care
