Travel ED RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit includes fast track, hallway stretchers and behavioral health rooms, and uses MEDITECH.

• Assess and prioritize emergency patients with changing conditions
• Monitor cardiac, trauma and behavioral health patients
• Assist with splinting, EKGs and central monitoring
• Support trauma care, resuscitation and airway support
• Administer treatments, medications and fluids per orders
• Document care and coordinate with the care team
• Provide de-escalation support for behavioral health needs

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC and NIHSS
• Emergency department clinical skills
• Trauma and behavioral health care skills

• MEDITECH experience
• Trauma experience
• Holding inpatient experience
• CPI
