Travel ED RN in Muncie, IN

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a trauma center emergency department on a 13-week contract in Muncie, Indiana. The unit has 48 beds that can flex to 62 and sees an average of 6.6 behavioral health patients per day, and first-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and stabilize patients across the full age range
• Triage and prioritize care for emergency and trauma cases
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Start and maintain IV access and obtain blood specimens
• Administer and monitor procedural sedation and IV vasopressors
• Support patients using CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilator care
• Follow isolation precautions and assist with behavioral health needs

• Registered Nurse license in Indiana
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Level II trauma center experience
• Charting system experience
• Experience with dysrhythmia care, phlebotomy, IV therapy, and ventilated patients

• NIHSS
• Triage experience
• Behavioral health patient care
• Pediatric emergency care
