Travel ED RN in Live Oak, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Live Oak, Texas. The unit uses Meditech and manages sepsis, stroke and chest pain cases. Emergency procedures include conscious sedation support, intubation assistance and behavioral health watch.

• Triage and prioritize emergency patients
• Monitor patients with chest pain, stroke and sepsis
• Assist with conscious sedation and intubation support
• Provide behavioral health watch and safety monitoring
• Administer medications, fluids and other emergency treatments
• Document assessments, interventions and responses in Meditech
• Collaborate with the care team during rapid changes in condition

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC and NIHSS certifications
• At least 2 years of emergency department experience

• CEN certification
• Meditech experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
