Travel ED RN in Downey, CA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 15-week contract in Downey, California. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics and is a STEMI and stroke receiving unit.

• Triage emergency patients across all age groups
• Assess and monitor patients with stroke, STEMI, trauma, and medical emergencies
• Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gas results
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, IV therapy, and vasopressors
• Administer blood products and support procedural sedation
• Perform phlebotomy, IV starts, and isolation precautions

• California Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Prior travel experience
• EPIC experience

• TNCC certification
• OCN credential
• Teaching hospital experience
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience
