Travel ED RN in Des Moines, IA

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital for a 13-week contract in Des Moines, Iowa. The role supports care in an emergency unit serving acute patients.

• Triage patients and prioritize care
• Assess, stabilize and reassess emergency conditions
• Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments
• Monitor vital signs, pain and response to interventions
• Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation support
• Document care and communicate changes in status
• Support patient flow and handoffs

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse license
• Basic Life Support certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
• Trauma Nursing Core Course and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Emergency department nursing skills
• Rapid assessment and multitasking skills
