Travel ED RN in Corpus Christi, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will care for emergency patients in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Corpus Christi, Texas. The 12-bed unit uses EMR for charting and runs at 4:1 ratios. It is a fast-paced setting with cardiac and neurologic emergencies.

• Assess and stabilize emergency department patients
• Triage incoming patients and prioritize care
• Administer medications and monitor responses
• Assist with STEMI, stroke, TPA, and airway emergencies
• Coordinate care with physicians and the care team
• Document care in the electronic medical record

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of emergency department experience as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Trauma Nursing Core Course, and ENPC or PALS certification

• Strong neuro and cardiac emergency care skills
• Comfort in a fast-paced emergency department
