Travel ED RN in Brownsville, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in a freestanding emergency department setting on a 13-week contract in Brownsville, Texas. The unit has 11 beds, uses team nursing, and charts in Meditech.

• Perform triage and rapid emergency assessments
• Deliver nursing care across all triage levels
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies
• Assist with airway management and intubation support
• Support moderate sedation monitoring and recovery
• Assist with splinting, wound care and laceration repair
• Collect specimens and perform phlebotomy

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC and TNCC certifications
• Emergency Department triage and critical thinking skills
• Experience working independently in a small team environment
• Collaborative communication with physicians, nurses and EMS

• Bilingual English and Spanish
• Freestanding emergency department experience
• Meditech experience
• Point-of-care testing experience
