Travel ED RN in Austin, TX

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Austin, Texas. The unit has 32 beds, uses Meditech charting, and maintains a 4:1 patient ratio.

• Triage and assess patients with urgent and emergent conditions
• Monitor vital signs, pain, and response to treatment
• Administer medications and IV therapies per protocol
• Assist with lumbar punctures, intubations, thrombolytic therapy, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
• Collaborate with physicians and team members during rapid patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic record

• Current Texas Registered Nurse license
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• ENPC certification by start date
• TNCC certification by start date
• NIHSS certification

• More than 2 years of emergency department experience
• Team-oriented approach
• Anticipation of patient and department needs
