Travel ED RN in Charleston, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a stand-alone emergency room on a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic, and handles about 50 visits a day. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage emergency patients and prioritize care
• Assess adults and children with urgent medical and behavioral needs
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to changes
• Start and maintain IV access and administer ordered medications
• Assist with 12-lead EKGs, procedural sedation monitoring, and ventilatory support
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the chart

• Active Registered Nurse license in South Carolina or a compact state
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• 1 year of general emergency department experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Epic experience
• Experience with dysrhythmias, central line care, IV vasopressors, and triage

• TNCC
• NRP
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience
• Experience with complex trauma, psychiatric holds, and violent behavior management
