Travel ED RN in Charleston, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in a stand-alone emergency room on a 13-week contract in Charleston, South Carolina. The general emergency department serves neonates through geriatrics, uses Epic, and averages about 50 visits a day in a 14-bed, 15-room setting. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Assess and triage emergency patients across the lifespan
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency treatments
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, respiratory support, and procedural sedation
• Support care for stroke, overdose, and behavioral health emergencies
• Obtain EKGs, start IVs, and collect specimens
• Maintain isolation precautions and patient safety measures

• South Carolina or multistate compact Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• 1 year of emergency department experience
• General emergency department experience with adult and pediatric patients
• Epic charting experience
• Emergency care skills in triage, IV starts, phlebotomy, and dysrhythmia management

• TNCC and NRP
• Level I or Level II trauma center experience
• Interpretation of dysrhythmias and advanced emergency care skills
