Travel ED RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit has 23 rooms, sees about 110 visits per day, serves neonates through geriatrics, and uses Epic.

• Triage emergency patients and prioritize care
• Assist with procedural sedation, intubation, and chest tube care
• Monitor ventilated patients and support BiPAP management
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and vasopressors
• Interpret dysrhythmias and support stroke care
• Start and maintain IV access and perform phlebotomy
• Apply isolation precautions and manage emergency patient flow

• Registered Nurse license for South Carolina or Compact license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS
• 2+ years of ER experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with emergency department care of adults and pediatrics

• Arterial line management
• ABG interpretation
• Trauma and neurologic emergency care
• Care of head injury, spinal cord injury, or traumatic brain injury
