Travel ED RN in Columbia, SC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in an acute care hospital emergency department on a 13-week contract in Columbia, South Carolina. The unit serves neonates through geriatrics, averages 110 visits per day, uses Epic, and manages 23 rooms with broad emergency volume. First-time travelers are welcome.

• Triage and prioritize patients across all age groups
• Assess and stabilize emergency patients with acute medical and trauma needs
• Assist with procedural sedation, intubation care, and chest tube management
• Administer IV therapies, blood products, and vasopressors as ordered
• Monitor ventilated and BiPAP-supported patients and respond to rhythm changes
• Start and maintain IV access, obtain labs, and support isolation precautions
• Coordinate care with respiratory therapy, rapid response, radiology, and other support teams

• Current South Carolina Registered Nurse license or compact license in hand before start
• 2+ years of emergency department experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting system experience
• IV access, triage, dysrhythmia, and ventilated patient care skills

• Arterial line management
• ABG interpretation
• Neuro-trauma experience
• Trauma experience with TBI, spinal cord injury, and amputations
