Travel ED RN in Lillington, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency care in a short-term acute care hospital on a 13-week contract in Lillington, North Carolina. The unit is a Level III trauma center and teaching hospital with a 22-bed emergency department, Epic charting, and patients across the lifespan.

• Assess and stabilize patients with urgent medical and behavioral health needs
• Administer emergency medications and blood products as ordered
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and obtain 12-lead ECGs
• Start and maintain IV access and assist with central line care
• Perform phlebotomy and support diagnostic testing
• Collaborate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and other support services
• Document care and communicate changes in patient condition in Epic

• Active North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIHSS
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience
• Emergency nursing skills in dysrhythmia interpretation, IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration, and central line care

• NRP and TNCC
• Arterial line management
• Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction or failure
• Previous charge experience
