Travel ED RN in Lillington, NC

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide emergency nursing care in a short-term acute care hospital in Lillington, North Carolina on a 13-week contract. The unit has 22 beds, sees about 75 visits per day, uses Epic charting, and serves all ages. First-time travelers are welcome in a Level III trauma and teaching hospital.

• Assess and stabilize emergency patients across all age groups
• Administer emergency medications and blood products
• Obtain 12-lead EKGs and support dysrhythmia monitoring
• Start and maintain IV access and assist with central line care
• Provide care for overdose, suicidal, and multisystem patients
• Coordinate with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and phlebotomy teams
• Document care in Epic

• North Carolina Registered Nurse license
• BLS, ACLS, CPI, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 3 years of emergency department experience
• Epic charting experience
• Prior travel nursing experience
• Blood product administration, IV therapy, dysrhythmia interpretation, phlebotomy, and central line care

• NRP certification
• TNCC certification
• Arterial line management
• Charge nurse experience
