Travel ED RN in Alamosa, CO

A Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse will provide care in the emergency department on a 13-week contract in Alamosa, Colorado. The 9-bed unit serves neonates through geriatrics and uses Meditech charting. First-time travelers are welcome, and the setting supports combined adult and pediatric emergency care.

• Assess and stabilize patients across all ages in the emergency department
• Triage complaints and prioritize care for a busy general ED
• Start and maintain IV access and administer ordered therapies
• Obtain 12-lead ECGs, collect specimens, and assist with phlebotomy
• Administer blood products, emergency medications, and IV vasopressors as ordered
• Monitor behavioral health, trauma, and procedural sedation needs
• Coordinate care with respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and interpretation teams

• Active Colorado Registered Nurse license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC
• 2 years of emergency department experience
• Level III trauma experience
• Blood product administration, IV vasopressor, phlebotomy, and 12-lead ECG skills

• NIHSS proficiency
• Meditech charting experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation, splinting, and procedural sedation experience
• Behavioral health, psychiatric hold, and suicidal patient care
