Travel CVICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a pediatric intensive care unit on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit has 24 beds, uses Meditech, and commonly cares for ICU-level patients with respiratory, neuro, GI, GU, burn, DKA, and cardiac needs. Ratios range from 2:1 to 1:1 for higher acuity and 3:1 for lower step-down patients.

• Monitor critically ill pediatric patients and respond to changes in condition
• Manage ventilators, drips, chest tubes, central lines, trachs, and GT care
• Assist with central line and chest tube placement
• Support sedation, lumbar puncture, and intubation procedures
• Coordinate care with the medical team and charge nurse
• Document assessments and care in the charting system

• Texas Registered Nurse license
• PALS certification
• ICU level of care experience
• Intubated and ventilator experience
• Strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

• ECMO experience
• CRRT experience
