Travel CVICU RN in San Antonio, TX

A Travel CVICU Registered Nurse will provide cardiac critical care in a hospital unit on a 13-week contract in San Antonio, Texas. The unit uses Meditech and cares for post-CABG, post-VAD and post-cath patients with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator support.

• Monitor hemodynamics and cardiac support devices
• Manage ventilator support for critically ill cardiac patients
• Assess post-CABG, post-VAD and post-cath patients
• Collaborate with the care team on bedside changes
• Document assessments, interventions and patient response
• Support safe delivery of ICU level nursing care

• Active Texas Registered Nurse license
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• 2 years or more ICU experience
• Ventilator management and invasive hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Strong critical thinking skills

• IABP exposure
• CRRT exposure
• Meditech charting and order entry
